Head Instructor : Professor Damian Smith

Professor Damian Smith is a proud husband, and father to 5 sons who share his passion for
the art of BJJ. Damian started his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) journey in 2002 after, like many others, seeing the
effectiveness of BJJ in the early days of the UFC. Damian instantly recognized the power of
BJJ for personal growth beyond the walls of the academy and became very passionate about
using the art to help students achieve their full potential.

Damian has been teaching full time for over a decade, and has a passion for teaching kids
classes after witnessing the many benefits BJJ has for kids on countless occasions. Damian’s
biggest goal is to help people dream huge and crush their goals, both on and off the mat.
Outside of the academy Damian enjoys living the BJJ lifestyle to the fullest by consistently
seeking to develop himself as a human-being. His other passions include riding his v-rod,
grilling organic meats on the BBQ, and hanging out with his family.
